Right to information

The Right to Information (RTI) legislation is part of the Queensland Government's commitment to providing the community with greater access to information.

If you're unfamiliar with Right to Information and Information Privacy, you can learn more about how these approaches ensure transparency and access to government-held information. There are multiple ways to access information from the department, and it's worth checking if what you're looking for is already available before submitting a request.

If you need to, you can find out how to make a Right to Information or Information Privacy access application. Once information is released through the RTI process, it's made publicly available in our disclosure log. Additionally, the department's publication scheme outlines the types of information we routinely make available to the public.
