    David Crisafulli

    Premier of Queensland

    Premier of Queensland, David Crisafulli, was sworn in as the 41st Premier of Queensland on 28 October 2024.

    He was first elected to the Queensland Parliament in 2012 as the member for Mundingburra, until 2015. In 2017 he was elected as the Member for Broadwater.

    As Premier of Queensland, he is responsible for:

    • leadership of the Parliament
    • being the Chief Minister and Chair of Cabinet
    • choosing ministers and allocating portfolios
    • representing his or her electorate
    • portfolio responsibilities
    • being the main channel of communication between:
      • the Governor and Cabinet
      • the Queensland Government and other state and territory governments
      • the Queensland Government, the Commonwealth Government and overseas governments.
